(Commentary) Restart 14/06

It has been a while since I had blogged. I took the month the may as a break from my routine of studying DevOps (the devops bootcamp) and focus on getting some certifications instead. I focused on the Claude Architect - Foundations exam and the AWS Data Engineer exam. Happy to say that I passed both of them.

I took these exams because for one, I could claim for them from my company, they were fully paid and the second reason was because I want to show some relevant achievement to my work.

I took the break from my routine to get these certifications and am happy that I achieved them. Though, not by a large margin; though, I was under a lot of commitments and changes, I managed to do it.

It is not easy. It is not easy to balance, work, studies and family. I managed to pull this off due to time and effort I put in. But, in all honesty, I could have done better.

I could have put in more effort by studying while I was on commute to and from work. I could have focus on leisure time on useful videos and study materials rather than instagram. And, I could have put in more attention and effort during the last sprints before the exam.

There was a element of luck. I manage to the  pass the AWS Data Engineer exam mainly because I was working with alot of those tools. AWS Glue, AWS Quicksight, Step functions, Lambda. That is what gave me the confidence. That shows on the importance of actual hands on experience.

This short break and 2 certification achievements are very useful. I learned alot but it is time to reflect and restart. I did not do everything well. I have done some things well.

It is June 14, where do I go from here. What do I do next?

While it is alot to focus on Data Engineering, AI, and DevOps. That is what I want to do. I understand that it is not easy. But, I will give this a try with small consistent efforts and discipline.

What do I want to do next or achieve next?

1. Finish Claude certifications (everything) and develop in claude
(Learn more about AI and AI Agent development)

2. Focus on snowflake and Databricks next. Get snowflake badge and do development on databricks (PySpark) Big data
(Learn more about Big Data Engineering)

3. Focus on the TechWorldwithNana (TWN) Bootcamp programme and complete it. I want to finish that bootcamp and achieve the badge.

(Learn more about DevOps)

4. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional

(This is what I want to achieve next.)

I am in June of 2026. I have roughly 6 months before the end of this year. It is possible - with discipline, effort and energy.

I said energy because during this time I am not solely focused on this certifications or courses but also on my family.

They are the ones who are always with me. They are my pillar of support and my source of strength. They are my intrinsic motivation to better myself.

Ignore negativity, focus on positivity. Pave way to self-improvement and achieving our manifested dreams.

God be with us.
