(Commentry): Distractions

In the past few days, I had not been at my best. Not been at my 1% improvement everyday. I did not do the things that I said I will do everyday nor come to blog. I did get started on things and tried to study. That was good effort. But, I was distracted.

I have been distracted. It is not being a working adult. It is not easy to adult. It is different from when we were at school or university. We would just think, why not relax. You are getting paid with money, just relax. No harm, no foul.

In university, your timetable was broken down for you, you had semesters. You had assignments. You had exams. It is not the same in the outside, no one has set timetable for you. No one is actually invested in your learning or development. You have to manage it all.

It is easy to think that it is fine to relax. You are still getting paid. But, know this, life and its duties will catch up with you.

Time wasted is time wasted. It is the most important resource that we should safeguard but we let it go by.

I cannot get back the time that is lost. I let myself drown in distractions. I had momentary pleasures, what else?

Whats left behind is just emptiness.

1% improvement everyday.Success comes when self-discipline meets persistence.

Exercising one day does not make a difference. Studying properly for one day does not make a difference. Meditating for one day does not make a difference.

But what if we mutiply all of those by 365 days? what if I had managed to exercise consistently for 365 days? What if I had managed to study consistently everyday for 365 days? Meditate consistently for 365 days?

How different will I be? How different will my life be?

It is easy to let ourselves be lost in distraction by it comes with a price. Laziness has a prize, not exercising has a price.

Understand the price of things and our aspirations. Not motivation but aspirations. You can be more, you can do more. Aspire for more. Have clear goal and consistent effort.

Starting is the most difficult thing, just get started and keep it rolling.

From now on, for 21 days consistently, I am going to document my learning. God be with me!
